Buu's 35th Birthday

Well, all of my classmates would be turning 35 this year, so it's no news... but Buu turns 35 this month. And Sat, Ards & I (+じゅるる & Popo) got together w/ Buu to celebrate.

It's sorta tradition to eat at Mr Cecil's for Buu's b-day, so this year we did take out.

And headed over to Buu's parents house, where Buu's sis & cousin were waiting w/ him.

Wow, I haven't been over to their house in a long time.
But it still feels the same. Just with more cats <3

Ards got cake from King's Hawaiian (the rainbow cake). And we all got fat from ribs, hush puppies and cake. Gefu.

N&J Baby Shower, Visit from Vu

Today was Nads & Jams' baby shower.

I was planning to go w/ Ards, but couldn't get up before noon. Well, I was up earlier, but collapsed after couple of early morning feedings.

And Sat decided not to go b/c she was feeling sick.
Plus Vu was gonna come up to WLA to look at computer stuff.

So even tho the event was 12pm - 4pm, we headed over there a little after 3pm. The shower was already winding down (they finished all the games & opened presents), but we managed to grab a few red velvet cupcakes. They were yum! Gotta ask Jams where they got them.

Since I took some cupcakes home, Sat came over w/ Vu to eat them.
And for Vu to see Popo.

While Popo (& Sat) were napping, Vu and I were stalking people on FB. See, I'm having trouble remembering all the HS friends (even if I had friended them). So we were going thru the list, trying to tie them to groups and clubs and stuff. Of course there's a bunch of people I haven't friended, so we went from person to person to see if they're around... if they look any different.

Meh, I'm not good at this keeping in touch w/ people thing.

Vu's Birthday Adventure

The plan was to eat duck on Vu's birthday.
Sat, じゅるる and I get to Hop Woo, and there's a sign on the door.

"Temporarily closed"

Ack!
The guy said they're remodeling the kitchen and will reopen on Monday.
(BTW the guys talked to Sat like they knew her... does she go there that often?)

So we call up Vu (who was still on his way there) to make a change in plans.

Plan B: go eat ribs.

We head over to Mr. Cecil's, sit down and wait. And wait. And wait.
Both waiters asked if we were still waiting for the other person to arrive.
Yes, we replied sadly. We're very hungry.

Vu finally shows up, and we order quickly.
Rib and rib combo for me & Sat (we shared). Rib and rib combo for じゅるる & me (we shared too). And half rack of baby back ribs for Vu. And a side order of buffalo wings.


And we ate the whole thing!

Then we headed to the Westwood condo to eat cake from Vanille.


And then we played a little bit of WiiFit.

Baby for Y Family, Sick Member for F Family

Sat got a call from Ichigo yesterday morning.

Sat's childhood friend Bryan (Jennifer's younger brother) is going to have a baby. They just had a baby shower. We didn't know about it, so we didn't prepare gifts... but maybe Ichigo gave them money on our behalf.

And we also found out that Lynne's mom is very sick. I'm not sure what kind of sickness she has, but it sounded pretty severe. Susie (Lynne's younger sister) is staying at home taking care of their mom.

I'm sure Y おばちゃん & Ichigo are in a bit of a shock, since Mrs. F is around the same age as them (maybe a little bit younger?).

Vu Gets a (Real) Job

Vu came over because he wanted us to celebrate that he got the position he interviewed for at his current company.

After arguing over where to eat, Vu, Sat & Dave settled on ordering Thai food & getting it delivered. Maybe they felt sorry for me cuz I couldn't really leave the house (there's a lot of stairs).
