Shiz Can't Cook Series: Pineapple Pancakes

I saw Sasami's sis L post that she made pineapple pancakes on Facebook... So I decided to copy and make them for breakfast... er, lunch... today.

I completely rely on Bisquick for pancakes.
And biscuits.
And anything handy the Bisquick box has recipes for.

Attempt 1:
I put in whole chunks of pineapples into the batter.
Six pieces of pineapple chunks, to be exact.
Hmmm... they're too big and lumpy.

No photos.
じゅるる ate them to destroy the evidence.

Attempt 2:
じゅるる suggested I add the pineapples after I lay down the batter. Cuz the last batch didn't come out circular either... The clumps of pineapple prevented the batter from spreading evenly.

I also tried crushing the pineapples this time too. Well, just cut them up w/ a knife.

Oooh, it came out pretty!
And yummy!

I think we'll be eating pineapple pancakes every Sunday until I get sick of them.

PS. Occasionally they flipped over funny and ended up looking like omelets.
And two tiny pancakes flipped over on top of each other (cuz we make mini pancakes w/ the leftover batter). Whoops... I'm pretty good at flipping over pancakes cuz I get practice w/ okonomiyaki. じゅるる thinks I need two flippers, like okonomiyaki.

Yard Sale II (Actually IV)

We had another yard sale at Dee's today.

じゅるる had some stuff to get rid of, plus we had stuff from previous yard sales.

Ichigo & I headed over around 8am to start setting up... and we were ready to sell around 9am.

We were a bit lazy, so we posted one sign along the nearest intersection. But we got a good flow of people coming in anyway. This place is an awesome place to do a yard sale ^__^

Next week is Halloween, so we'll pass out some of the leftover anime stuff then.

PS. C's doggie got big! She used to have stumpy legs like a corgi, but now she actually looks like a dog. When she sits down, she looks like a smart, proper dog... too bad she can't sit still for too long.

Shiz Can't Cook Series: A Week of Cooking

I promised じゅるる that I'll cook all week this week.

Cuz... I haven't made a single meal since we moved to this apartment -__- And I wanted to prove that I'm a contributing adult in this household. *ahem*

Monday:
After telling Ichigo that I was gonna cook all week, she freaked out. She insisted we go grocery shopping and wanted to go to a Korean market, but we voted against it cuz of the traffic. So we ended up going to SM Mitsuwa to buy some stuff.

Anyhoo, I (er Ichigo) ended up making...
* 焼き魚 (2 pieces of salmon & 1 piece of tara)
* カボチャ mixed w/ cream cheese
* 野菜炒め

Pretty simple for the first day.

Tuesday (at Koge House):
* Gyoza
* Oyster mushroom炒め
* Boiled Chinese broccoli

Wednesday:
I was feeling sick, so じゅるる ended up making 生 abura-soba at home.
Me? I just ate toast.

Thursday:
We had lots of leftovers, so I made rice and heated up a lot of leftovers.

But I also made miso-wasabi cucumber side dish. The only problem was, we only can eat one cucumber in a sitting, but I had made three.

Friday (at Koge House):
We were craving pizza, so we ordered from Papa John's.

So I ended up only cooking two days (+ one day of leftovers)... but not so bad, eh?
