New Glasses

I finally got my butt to an eye doctor.

I thought my eyes have gotten worse b/c I was crocheting in a dimly lit room in Burbank last winter. Plus I was running low on contacts (one left, not even a pair). And they are disposables, but I hadn't changed in a long time. Like six months? And my glasses have been broken for over two years.

After the exam, the doc said my prescription hasn't changed.

Wow.
After all the abuse my eyes have gone through, I was sure they were going bad.

I got a new pair of contacts. Whee!
I'll have to go order more from C*stco next week.

I also got new glasses.
They kinda look like Sat's glasses. Red hue, metallic, but rounded corners. They'll be arriving in two weeks, so maybe I can post a new profile photo on FB.

Next appointments are dentist & ob/gyn.
But that'll be next year.

People Who Step in...

I went to a nursing home today... and I stepped in poo.

I guess when you're at a nursing home, some of the patients there may drop things. And you gotta be careful to look where you're walking.

This is the first time I've stepped in human poo, but it's not the first time stepping in poo in general.

The first time I stepped in poo (dog), I didn't even realize it & walked into Jekk's apartment. Good thing I took off my shoes at the tiled entrance way... but I didn't realize I had poo on my shoes until I LEFT, so I left a bit of poo there & never cleaned it up. Sorry, man.

Sat thinks people who step in poo... are always stepping in poo. You're either a poo-stepper or a non-poo-stepper. She falls in the non-stepper, and I apparently fall in the poo-stepper. I won't name names, but she said we know other poo-steppers among our circle of friends. You know who you are.

I also tend to step on gum too.
I really ought to look where I'm walking, huh?

PS. じゅるる said he used to step on (dog) poo all the time when he was a kid. I guess he falls in the poo-stepper side too. No word on if he still steps in poo.

What I Want for Xmas

I realized... that what I really want this Xmas is a cordless phone.

Usually my cell phone acts as a cordless phone & the land-line phone is just an intercom to let people in the front door...

But the rainy season is making my cell phone semi-useless in the apartment.

I need to call HP to get the tablet fixed (still shuts down!), but I get cut off on my cell phone.

So what I really want for Xmas is a cordless phone.

And a CD player for downstairs.
Cuz we don't believe in MP3s in this household.

But more cordless phone than CD player.

Kinda late, but thought I'd leave it out there in the world.
